The Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove season is from November to February. The Butterfly Grove is publicly owned and is generally one of the largest overwintering western site for western monarch butterflies.

The Pismo State Beach Monarch Grove is free to visit and open to the public daily from sunrise – sunset. (Inclement weather may affect these hours). The grove is a part of Pismo State Beach and is located on HWY 1 between Grover Beach and Pismo Beach.
