Our Farmers Markets: Two Distinct Experiences
Arroyo Grande is fortunate to host two weekly farmers markets, each with its own personality and charm. These community gatherings aren’t just places to shop—they’re social hubs where you can meet the people who grow your food, discover new seasonal specialties, and immerse yourself in our town’s agricultural heritage.

Wednesday Morning Market: Start Your Day Fresh
Our Wednesday morning farmers market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Smart & Final parking lot at 1464 East Grand Avenue. This convenient location makes it easy to combine specialty shopping with your regular grocery needs.
The market features approximately 35 growers collectively providing a wonderful variety of in-season vegetables, fruits, fish, and flowers. The parking lot setting creates a practical, accessible shopping experience where you can efficiently find everything you need.
Summer mornings at this market are particularly special, with vendors displaying the season’s stars—sweet corn with plump kernels, vine-ripened tomatoes in a rainbow of colors, fragrant stone fruits, berries at their peak sweetness, and aromatic herbs. The earlier hours make this market ideal for those who prefer to shop before the heat of the day sets in.
Saturday Village Market: Weekend Agricultural Adventure
For a more leisurely weekend experience, our Saturday farmers market invites you from noon to 2:30 p.m. in Olohan Alley near the Swinging Bridge in the Village of Arroyo Grande. This market has a distinctive country feel, made even more charming by our famous roosters that sometimes wander nearby.
The Saturday market creates a perfect atmosphere for a relaxed weekend outing, with artists selling their wares by the creek-side and musicians filling the air with music as you browse the fresh produce and artisanal goods. The central location in our historic Village means you can easily combine your market shopping with lunch at a local restaurant, boutique browsing, or a stroll across the Swinging Bridge.
Summer Saturdays bring a vibrant energy to this market, with visitors and locals alike gathering to celebrate the week’s harvest. The shaded creekside location provides relief from the summer sun, creating a comfortable environment to linger, chat with vendors, and carefully select the ingredients that will star in your weekend meals.
