1. Beach Time and Brunch

Start the day with a morning beach walk but first swing by Cafe Andreini to grab coffee and pastries, Virt Juice for a smoothie or pick up egg sandos and breakfast burritos at Sidewalk Cafe. If a leisurely Sunday brunch is more Mom’s speed, Mason Bar and Kitchen hits the spot with a special brunch menu that includes everything from salads to pancake fritters and fried chicken sandwiches.

2. Shop Around Town

In the mood for some shopping or looking for a memento to take back home? Spend the day in the Village wandering in and out of antique shops and boutiques. Mosey on over to Neighbors General Store for a curated selection of home, kitchen, pantry and gift goods. If wanting more of a treasure hunt, check out Rhonda’s Relics with both vintage and new collectibles.

3. Wine and Beer Tasting

Have a divine time wine tasting along the Arroyo Grande Valley AVA. Toast to spending the weekend with Mom along the Central Coast! Sit out on the patio of Timbre Winery or soak up the sun at nearby wineries like Kynsi or Talley. More beer drinkers than wine lovers? For a pint or two, check out Humdinger Brewery (Their hard seltzers are delish!) or enjoy the lively atmosphere at Blast 825.

4. Find Adventure

To explore the adventurous side of our friendly destination, get out on Lopez Lake for a day of recreation or sail through the sky with a zip-line experience at Vista Lago Adventure Park. Pack a picnic lunch, hit the trails and take in the scenery!

5. Explore the Local Food Scene

Ask the front desk at your hotel where their favorite dinner location is and you’re sure to get a variety of responses! From Mexican to Mediterranean, farm-to-table, seafood and Italian, Arroyo Grande has plenty of restaurant options for travelers to enjoy. “Foodie” moms will love chef-driven restaurants like Ember, recognized in the California Michelin Guide, or newly-opened Blue Seafood & Grill by Chef Raymundo Perez, a veteran of the Las Vegas restaurant scene. Rooster Creek Tavern has wide menu selection and is kid-friendly, and Gina’s Italian Cafe is a locals favorites.
